Water Out Oklahoma on Extreme Makeover:
Home Edition
One of the original Water Out® members, Roger Dutil
and Water Out Oklahoma in Lawton, Oklahoma, sent in a great story this week.
Earlier this year, Roger heard that ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
was coming to the Lawton area, so he called them to donate his time, energy
and equipment in any way he could.
The project went through in the middle of February, and Roger reported on
the event; “During the week of February 16-22 Water Out of Oklahoma
participated in Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to build a 4,000 square foot
home for an Iraq war veteran. With the help of over 300 people we were able
to build this house in less than seven days. The actual house was framed and
moved in less than 4 days. We used the Water Out® trailer to reduce the
humidity while sheet rocking and mud and taping to help dry and to keep the
house warm for the workers during the 24-hour period it was set up. With great
success it was all accomplished and with luck the show will air on April 15th.
The people from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition were impressed with the results
of the Water Out® trailer and hopefully it will be used again on other
projects in other states.”
Congratulations, Roger, and everyone on your crew from Water Out Oklahoma.
We couldn’t be more proud of you. (see

Water Out Oklahoma dries landlocked light house
Roger sent in another story recently as well, this time
from a project at a very unique Oklahoma residence. A light house that had
been designed as a fully functional home experienced a pipe break during a
recent cold snap. Roger explains; “We’ve had a number of drying
jobs lately, with the most unusual one being a 4-floor light house. The toilet
supply-line upstairs froze and broke causing water to run down the stairs
and walls to the bottom floor. We were able to extract the water and dry out
all three of the upper floors.”
Great pictures, Roger, and another great job!

Water Out Oklahoma handles local losses in Lawton
One of the original Water Out® service providers, Roger Dutil and Water
Out Oklahoma, brought us up to date with some of his jobs from October as
well. “The picture we sent is of a water loss in a 1,200 square foot
crawl space that got flooded during one of our recent heavy rains. The water
was extracted and we are in the process of setting up a Water Out® trailer
to dry the crawl space.
The second job we don’t have a picture for. We got a call early this
morning from a local school that had a water line let go and flood the entire
library and part of the storage and breakroom. There is approximately 2”
of standing water inside most of the area including bookshelves and storage.
We extracted about 1,200 gallons of water and then set up fans and a Water
Out® trailer to start drying the roughly 1,500 square feet affected by
the water loss. These jobs are following 14 major water losses completed within
the last three weeks after massive rain storms.”
Great job, as always, Roger, and everyone at Water Out Oklahoma.

Roger Dutil and Water Out of Oklahoma, one of the original Water Out®
members, handled a loss recently at a church in the Lawton area. “We
pumped out approximately 3000 gallons of water from the front of the church
after a water main broke and allowed the water to flow inside. We then extracted
water from the carpet throughout the church. We started at 5:30 AM Sunday
morning (07/25/2004), they had services at 11:00, and we went back at 1:30
and finished up. We set up the drying equipment with the Water Out® trailer
and had it all dried by Tuesday morning.”
Excellent job as always, Roger and everyone at Water Out of Oklahoma!
